Lennox Head is a vibrant seaside village with a famous right-hand point break, Lennox Point, which attracts surfers from around the world. The headland is great for watching surfers and spotting whales, and nearby Lake Ainsworth has excellent barbecue facilities.

Just a short drive south of Byron Bay, Lennox Head is a perfect seaside escape, with spectacular coastal scenery including a gorgeous lake for kayaking and canoeing and the beautiful Seven Mile Beach. At the southern end of the beach is Lennox Point, the world-famous point break.

Lennox Head is one of the iconic National Surfing Reserves. You can watch surfers carve up the waves from the headland's Pat Morton Lookout. The Lennox Longboard Classic is held every August. For an aerial view, enjoy the thrill of hang-gliding with Byron Airwaves or paragliding with Poliglide.

Dolphins sometimes join surfers riding the waves, offering a wonderful sight. Between May and November, you can spot whales migrating along the coast from the lookout and other vantage points including cruise boats in the Byron Bay region, on the North Coast of NSW.

Tea trees line Lake Ainsworth, on the village's northern edge. A stroll from Seven Mile Beach, the lake has excellent facilities for picnics and barbecues.
